Special thanks to the Brampton Quilters Guild for their special gifts!

Made with a whole lot of Love.

You’ve probably heard the saying “you get what you give“.  Well we hope that the folks at the Brampton Quilters Guild get a whole bunch!  We were very pleased and honoured that the local Guild quilted hundreds of placemats and lap quilts for Brampton Meals on Wheels clients and those in need in our community.  Over 40 members participated in sewing the placemats and over 25 members sewed the lap quilts.  Below is a copy of the letter that was received along with close up photo’s of some of the customized quilts made with love and appreciation.  With our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Edie P., Community Projects Convener and all the Volunteer Quilters for giving of their time and talents.  We are grateful for your generosity.  May the holidays be bright and filled with family, friends and happiness.

Delivering the lovely Quilts from the Brampton Quilters Guild are Edie P. (right) and Judy T. (centre).  Karen Humber (left) accepts the quilts on behalf of Meals on Wheels.

Below are just a few of our Brampton Meals on Wheels Volunteer Drivers who began delivering the special Quilts last week.  We’d like to thank Peter M., CathyR. and John S. (seated) who delivered the quilted placemats to our Clients.  We also have a call-out to all our Volunteer Drivers who delivered the Meals and gifts from the Quilters Guild… thank you!

We have already had many lovely comments from our Clients who appreciated the lovely Quilts.  Thanks to everyone for your generosity and contagious holiday spirit.  Merry Christmas and all the very best in the new year.
