At Brampton Meals on Wheels, we are very pleased to have a wonderfully diverse team of Volunteers that represent our community and deliver smiles with every meal.  Our Volunteers come from many walks of life and hold (or have held) a variety of positions and jobs – everything from accountants to doctors to firefighters to homemakers, taxi drivers to truck drivers and everything in between.  That’s what makes us so special.

And, of course, we have a wide variety of languages that are spoken here too.   Our current Volunteer Drivers are able to speak the following:   Croatia, Italian, German, Hindi, Hungarian, Portuguese, Sinhalese, Arabic, Punjabi, Hindi, and French.  We love the fact that there is such diversity on the team.

Brampton Meals on Wheels welcomes Volunteers of all ages to deliver meals and smiles. We encourage parents and grandparents to show children that their time really can make a difference. All it takes is a vehicle and a couple of hours. Whether you have only a few hours one day per week or you can volunteer every day, your assistance is needed and always appreciated.

For the protection of our clients, Volunteers will be asked to submit to a criminal background check as well as reference checks. Volunteers who do not agree to the background check may be refused assignments. The safety, privacy and protection of our clients is paramount at all times. Volunteers who are approved will be required to attend an Orientation Training Session before they begin their volunteer work. This insures that all our Volunteers understand our mission and their responsibilities while delivering meals and visiting our clients.
