On October 8, 2013, Committee members transformed the Pearson Convention Center into a memorable display of red roses and fine dining.  Inside the Hall, Past and Present Volunteers, Staff and Board Members and guests were delighted with a slide presentation of photos while enjoying their Luncheon.

Region of Peel Chair, Emil Kolb opened the ceremony with a glowing review of our program.  Don Sargent, President of Brampton Meals on Wheels was presented with a plaque acknowledging our achievement by our number one supporter, Mayor Susan Fennell. The Mayor recognized the immeasurable role that Brampton Meals on Wheels plays in making a positive impact to the clients and community they serve.  We encourage our clients  to live an independent life in their own homes.

The event concluded with service award presentations and multiple raffle draws from our Sponsors.    As a gesture of gratitude, everyone who attended received a small gift bag as a token of our milestone.

 We acknowledge our Volunteers’ commitment as PRICELESS as they follow our motto — “Every Meal Comes with a Smile”.    BRAMPTON MEALS ON WHEELS IS PROUD OF THE SERVICE WE HAVE PROVIDED FOR THE PAST 50 YEARS.

Special mention to Rosa Oliveira and Savitha Weerasooriya, Committee Chairs who planned and organized the “50 Years of Smiles” Luncheon.    IT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS.
