It may be necessary to cancel meal deliveries if the weather is extremely cold mixed with snow conditions.    In the event of a cancellation of Brampton Meals on Wheels, we will make every effort to inform you of the situation by OUR ANNOUNCEMNTS ON THE FOLLOWING:

We encourage all our clients to have meals on hand in their Freezer in case there is a cancellation of meal delivery due to the extreme cold weather.  Our frozen meals are always available to you if you need them and can be ordered on a Monday or Tuesday for a Friday Delivery.   

Our volunteer delivery drivers are reliable and dedicated people. To avoid putting them at risk we will cancel deliveries on those days when the weather makes driving a threat to their safety. 

Please also have your driveways and pathways clear of snow and ice for your driver’s safety.  

If your pathway remains full of snow and/or ice it becomes a risk for our drivers.
