BMOW’S RECORDS ARE OFFICIALLY STORED AT THE PEEL ART GALLERY, MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES

BMOW’S RECORDS ARE OFFICIALLY STORED AT THE PEEL ART GALLERY, MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES

Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA) collects, tells and shares the stories of Peel Region.  PAMA also partners with community based cultural, social services, health, arts and heritage organizations of the Peel Region.  PAMA houses many important documents and artifacts about Peel’s history and heritage.  Archives work with the Region of Peel, City of Brampton, City of Mississauga and the Town of Caledon to protect their original minutes and bylaws.

Archival records provide important information during times of change which includes Heritage designation and community celebrations.  You can see business and government records, newspapers articles, letters, journals and photographs, along with the original records featuring local history.
Brampton Meals on Wheels has one binder of textual records that include typed histories of the organization, Executive Board minutes, annual statistical records, grant requests, client lists, newsletter clippings, event invitations, letters and photographs along with other materials.  BMOW’s history can now be displayed; loaned at the discretion of PAMA and, in addition, PAMA can copy items for the purpose of research or private study.  Our recent donation of materials has now become an impressive collection.  Our records have been placed in acid-free envelopes, file folders in a box and all information is entered into PAMA database system.

If people wish to review records, they can request access and work under supervision of an Archivist in the William Perkins Bull Room.

PAMA allows Archives to preserve the past and makes it accessible for others, INCLUDING FUTURE GENERATIONS.

PLEASE PLAN TO VISIT PAMA AND SEE FOR YOURSELF.
