Oh Canada… our home and native land.

Oh Canada… our home and native land.

Canada Day is a time to truly celebrate

this amazing country we call home.

There is Oh so much to celebrate about our home and native land.  So go ahead.  Paint the town red and white!   Brampton is celebrating Canada Day on July 1st in a big way at the Powerade Centre from 11am to 10:3opm.  There’s loads of entertainment including Jann Arden, Keshia Chante and Neverest.  Plus you’ll find an action-packed day of midway, circus, monster truck rides, FMX and more!   For all the details, check out the City of Brampton website at www.Brampton.ca

On behalf of everyone at Brampton Meals on Wheels, we would like to extend a very warm welcome to Prince William and Princess Kate.   Their tour of Canada begins this Thursday and we hope they enjoy soaking up all the adventures and beauty Canada has to offer.

Meals will be delivered Monday to Thursday this week only.

Due to the holiday on Friday, we will only be delivering meals from Monday through to Thursday.  While Frozen Meals are normally delivered on Friday’s, we will be delivering those on Thursday instead.  If you have any questions about your order this week, please contact the office directly at 905-453-4140 ext. 3720 or send us an email at bramptonmealsonwheels@bellnet.ca

Learning never stops!

This may be the last week of school but that doesn’t mean kids don’t have an opportunity to learn something new or make a difference in their community every day of the year.   Delivering meals on wheels to those in need in our community can be a family affair and teaches children responsibility, compassion and giving.  If you’re interested in learning more about our volunteer program, please give us a call any time.  We appreciate your interest and time.

Enjoy your week and Happy Canada Day everyone.

Georgia Mouka, Brampton Meals on Wheels Volunteer Blogger
