Volunteer Service Awards Luncheon was beautiful!

“Don’t look down on anyone unless you are helping them up.”
—Jesse Jackson

Thumbs up to all our Volunteers & Service Award Winners!

We’ve had quite a busy week at Brampton Meals on Wheels.  For one, it’s Meals on Wheels Week across Ontario and we received a lot of good wishes and thanks from our Clients.  We really appreciate your comments and, more importantly, your patronage.  We do what we do because of you!

Secondly, folks in the office were busy putting all the final touches in place for the special Volunteer Appreciation & Service Awards Luncheon held at The Garden Restaurant in Brampton today.  The turnout was fabulous and everyone had a good time.

“I have been a driver since 2005 & enjoy it. The best part of volunteering is the connection I have with my clients. We have established a relationship over the years. I look forward to talking to them & making sure they’re doing fine.” Ken Dunn, Volunteer

We thank all our Volunteer Drivers who deliver meals (and smiles) to our Clients rain or shine throughout the week.  We especially want to recognize these Volunteers for their years of service:

5-Years of Service Excellence

Patricia Duchesnay, Gloria Henry, Laurent Julien, Joe Milohnic, Don Sargent, Frank Peddle, Winston Rhule, Tom Casselman & Carol McCauley

10-Years of Service Excellence

20-Years of Service Excellence

Thanks again to all our amazing Volunteers.  If you’d like to learn more about Volunteer opportunities at Brampton Meals on Wheels, please visit our website for more information or contact our office directly.
